About this project
Deepfake technology is on the rise. Its popularity comes with risks, such as its usage in cybercrime and its ability to negatively affect the reputation of businesses through fraud, false endorsements, identity theft, etc.
Kuval trained his AI to detect whether an image was real, or faceswapped and distorted (a deepfake). He used a dataset of over 500 images and tested multiple AI algorithms, selecting Random Force for its best performance. Kuval then created a website and an app that allows users to upload images to find out whether an image has been faceswapped or distorted.
This project is an example of a solution to a real-world problem that many companies and individuals face in the modern tech era.
