Shriya's AI helps detect early cases of breast cancer through identification of histopathology images. As breast cancer cells grow at an abnormal rate and have the ability to spread lymph nodes in the arm, early detection can play a vital role in the effectiveness of treatment outcomes.

Shriya collected healthy and malignant, and cancerous histopathology images and trained her AI using image classification. She evaluated her accuracy and tuned the hyper-parameters of the deep neural network in order to increase its performance, and made sure to reduce false negatives and true negatives.

Shriya's project has the potential to provide great support to the healthcare sector, and improve the treamtent outcomes for many patients.
