About the Course
Mental health is a prevalent issue, but the discussion around it for kids and teenagers is severely lacking. Stress, anxiety, and depression has seen a rise in recent years, and it is estimated that 20% of children aged 9 - 17 have been diagnosed with a mental health condition that affects their daily life.
Sriteja used data from an NGO that conducted mental health screenings online through a set of questions. This data was quantified and analyzed statistically, and the AI is able to measure varying levels of mental health. Sriteja hopes that his model can be an assessment of risk, and if created into an app or website, could be used to gain insight on individuals responding to the interview, with evaluators using this model to cross-check their decisions pertaining to mental health.
