What is the ProjectCSGirls Competition?
ProjectCSGirls is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers middle school girls to solve problems in STEM using computer science. Each year they run a competition for middle school girls to showcase solutions using computer science. You can find out more about them here.
What does a typical competition entry look like?
It varies from competition to competition. In this case, the team prepared a report and a video describing their innovation.
How does AIClub help girls compete?
AIClub students have gone on to participate and win in many competitions from coding competitions to innovation, to science fairs. We help students in a number of ways
Finding teams. MDS is a great example of a team that met through AIClub classes and went on to work together.
Mentorship. Our mentors are highly qualified in real-world use of technology, AI, computer science, and more. We help the teams brainstorm, develop and refine their ideas and build their passions into projects.
How long does a typical competition submission take?
Teams usually work together for 3-4 months on their competition submissions.
